As we approach Lent, I am discontent with the lack of family friendly Lenten resources. During Advent, you can find Advent calendars on every Christmas aisle. As I searched for something to give to you to use with your family in preparation for Good Friday and Easter, I stumbled upon a mother's blog - Works for me Wednesday. This mother brought God into her home by creating a "God on the Kitchen wall" project with her family. Each month, they took a new theme and focused on what God was doing in their lives using things found around the house like paper bags and cotton balls. Take a look at the kitchen wall displays dedicated to God.

As we enter Lent, think about taking up the practice with your family. Not much time or deep thought is put into it: it is driven by one's love for God, the creativity and imagination of children, and the daily events that occur in one's life. I hope you are inspired to reach for God throughout this season of Lent.
